Welcome back to Metro Theatre's 58th continuous Season of exciting entertainment. Of course, Covid has required changes to our schedule and your experience at the theatre. You will find that until we get fully back to normal, seating will be restricted to maintain a safe distance between groups of patrons. Our usual services may be curtailed or closed entirely and we would ask that you not attend iif you are at all unwell. The new schedule for at least the first few shows will be expanded to 18 performances to allow for the restricted seating.
Before beginning Season 58, Charley's Aunt will be on stage from Sept. 25th for 18 performances to complete the postponed end to last season. Then we will be presenting the 5 shows in the 2020-2021 season starting Oct. 30,2020. with "FIVE ALARM" by Kristen da Silva is a new Canadian Comedy. Five Alarm runs through Nov. 21 and will include Wednesday evening performances.
We start 2021 with the madcap British comedy HAPPY BIRTHDAY adapted by Beverly Cross from a Marc Camoletti script opening Jan. 29, 2021. Following on March 12th will be Edward Taylor's British Mystery "Murder by Misadventue". Another Canadian comedy "Stag and Doe" by Marc Crawford will open April 16th and be followed by the comedy classic "The Odd Couple". on May 13th.
