Welcome back to the resumption of Metro Theatre's 58th Season of exciting entertainment. We hope that we have given enough time for the Covid pandemic to run its course. However, if we cannot get completely back to normal, seating will stay restricted to maintain a safe distance between groups of patrons. Our usual services may be curtailed or closed entirely and we may still ask that you not attend if you are at all unwell.
The event schedule for all of our regular season shows will change as we move Opening Night to a Saturday and add a 3rd Sunday Matinee.
We have increased our Season offerings by adding 2 shows to the 4 that remain in Season 58. A total of 6 Showcase Productions in 2021-22
This Subscription Series is to provide Season 58 Subscribers a Top Up to 6 shows from the 4 that are already subscribed.
The first show of Season 58 "STEEL MAGNOLIAS by Robert Harling opens September 25th in association with DogBone Productions. The 4 remaining shows of Season 58 will start Oct. 30,2021. with the Neil Simon comedy classic "THE ODD COUPLE" through Nov. 14th. We start 2022 with another DogBone Production of SHIRLEY VALENTINE by Willy Russell. It is slated to open Jan. 15 Then the madcap British comedy HAPPY BIRTHDAY adapted by Beverly Cross from a Marc Camoletti script opening Feb. 11th, 2022. On April 9th will be Edward Taylor's British Mystery "MURDER BY MISADVENTURE". Another Canadian comedy "STAG AND DOE" by Marc Crawford will open May 14th to finish the Season.
