This is a family musical based on the fable "The Pied Piper Of Hamelin" The little town of Hamelin is overrun with rats. Everyone from the youngest children to the most elderly are bothered by these rodents. Up pops the Pied Piper with his magic flute. He entices the rats into the river where they are swept away, BUT the Mayor (a shady character) refuses to honour the promise he made to the Pied Piper, who ends up in jail to the chants of "Lock him up, lock him up ". The Pied Piper escapes and steals the children, but 2 townspeople of good character find them and promise to pay the town's debt to him. The Pied Piper restores the children, and all ends happily.
